Let's dispel a myth cause pimples Now: bad hygiene is one of the causes of pimples! If you suffer from acne, chances are you've heard someone say that you should wash your face more, because all that dirt and grime from pollution is clogging your pores and causes pimples. It is simply not true. In fact, if you start washing your face more than twice a day, will only aggravate your acne, instead of making it better.
is not the real cause of pimples on the surface, it's under the skin. Specifically, it was hormones. Let's see how to get pimples so you can make smart choices about how to treat your acne.
face, neck, chest and back are covered with tiny hair follicles. within the hair follicle is composed of skin cells. the entire surface of our skin is made up of dead skin cells. We shed about 40,000 dead skin cells every minute of the day. All the dust around your house? a lot of dead skin cells. So, dead skin cells are normal. Now, usually dead skin cells shed one by one. Within the hair follicle, dead skin cells can be shedded, and then leave the pods through the pores of the skin surface. This is what usually happens. In acne sufferers, however, something else happens. These dead skin cells "slough off" in sheets. These leaves are rich in keratin and form sticky clumps that can not get out of the pores as easily. They block the pores instead. This is where the trouble begins.
Each hair follicle contains a sebaceous gland. These glands produce an oily substance called sebum that covers and protects our hair and skin. Normally the sebum leaves the follicle through the pores but since the pore is now blocked by the keratin rich clumps of dead skin cells, sebum supports, builds and bow area. Now you have a blackhead or whitehead. All you need to get those blackheads and whiteheads in the pimple is a small infection from bacteria on our skin called Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes). As the bacteria eat the sebum, our bodies send in white blood cells to fight them off. As white blood cells die, they make the rabbit and the pimple becomes red and inflamed.
If you want to know the cause of pimples, you have to look more closely at two things: irregular shedding of dead skin cells and sebum production. Both run the androgen hormones. These hormones classes during puberty, increased production of sebum at the same time to mess up the hair follicle's ability to get rid of skin cells properly. It is a double whammy. These hormones also cause acne can be triggered by stress, women, menstrual cycles, endocrine abnormalities, and steroids, to name just a few.
When you consider acne treatment to help you overcome your condition, you should keep in mind that topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid can help control blackheads, but they are not very effective against acne and pimples. Benzoyl peroxide and topical antibiotics kill bacteria P.acnes, but does not attack the real causes of pimples: androgen hormones. The best treatments are those that rebalance your hormones and there are several holistic treatments available today to do just that.
